My April 2023 TBR

Six of Crows & Crooked Kingdom - Leigh Bardugo I can't believe that being the fantasy fan that I am, I haven't read this yet. I bought these back in December last year and I've been waiting to read them so I have a few days to binge. I've got them marked for the Easter Bank holiday! A Fatal Crossing - Tom Hindle I tried reading this last year and I think I just wasn't in a great place at the time - I made it about 40% of the way through. It'd one of the few books I've ever DNF'd, BUT I don't think that's anything to do with the book itself - so I'm going to give it another go.  Fatherland - Robert Harris For some reason, this book has always intrigued me and this month I WILL read it. The premise is of what could have happened in the UK had Germany won the second world war. Knowing what we now know, I'm keen to see how it plays out.  My Killer Vacation - Tessa Bailey A spontaneous find a few months ago, but I've enjoyed the other ...

My March 2023 TBR

To avoid getting overwhelmed by choice everytime I look to pick my next book, I'm attempting to but a TBR list together for each month. That way I only need to choose the order to read them in! (And hopefully, slow down my book buying problem...) The Witches of Ardo - Anya Bergman A new addition to my TBR list because I cannot resist a witchy book. This one focusses on a series of witch trials in Scandinavia. The Hundred Loves of Juliet - Evelyn Skye The latest ARC release from NetGalley - this one is promising to be cute and cosy and very romantic.  One Christmas Morning - Rachel Greenlaw I KNOW that it's too early but I need to research for the December recommendations at some point surely? Another ARC release from NetGalley that I'm saving for the next cold snap before Spring.  Fairytale - Stephen King I don't think I need to justify this one. I have been a fan of Stephen King for years so as well as reading through the back-catalogue when I can, I also read his...

My 2023 TBR List

As most book-enthusiasts will contest to - a TBR list is never ending. No sooner do you finally get round to reading one of the books on your To Be Read list, in the time it's taken, another 3 have been added. And I am no exception. As part of my attempt to reach 1000 books, I've been replenishing my bookshelves but the problem is - not a lot of them are even on my TBR list! And then there's the BookTok curse. Because of so many awesome content creators on TikTok, I have fallen foul to buying loads of books that I'm been immediately buzzed for and devoured them within a few weeks of buying them.  So in 2023, I want to make a dent and read some of the books that have been sat on my list for at least a year. The Virgin Suicides  I was obsessed with this film in my teen years and I've wanted to read it ever since. the challenge is that I know it's going to emotionally destroy me.  The Count of Monte Christo This is going to my mountain of the year. A couple of year...
